WHY in 2020 are we (young women professionals) still not reporting those who sexually harass us as they continue to climb the ranks in national organizations, win awards, and use their “power and influence” to continue the disgusting cycle?

oh yeah... it’s because people continue to vote for them for positions of power on national organization committees, nominate them for awards, and turn a deaf ear to the “rumors” they hear over and over again. we need to do better. LISTEN TO YOUR MENTEES AND STUDENTS.

if another practitioner makes you (as a mentor/RPD) uncomfortable, please do not continue to push students/residents to work with that person - on a committee, on a project, on a manuscript, etc. - just because they are well-known and have lots of publications.
