Black panther was a cultural reset. I remember watching it in the movie theatre and everyone was wearing all black or traditional African wear and the atmosphere in the theatre was amazing.
When I first came to America, it wasn’t cool being African. I was made fun of a lot. But Black Panther brought forth this wave of African pride in me. A pride that I can’t explain. Chadwick, King, you will truly be missed.
Black Panther was the first American movie my African Parents ever watched willingly and loved. We watched it as a family so it has even more meaning.
