I want cis people to understand how important hair is to a lot of trans people

1: hair is the easiet part of your body to manipulate and change it to how you want it to be
2: hair is often a really big part of gender expression

Having someone else take control of your hair and shape it against your will without your consent is a horrifying thought for a lot of us. I don't let anyone get anywhere near my hair with scissors except for one specific hairdresser who I trust

So I want cis ppl to understand how big a deal hair is to many trans people. Losing control of your own hair is a big part of the loss of your personhood we're subjected to. We're reduced down to nothing more than a role we're forced to play :(

So if you're cis and see a trans person talking about hair, esp talking about losing autonomy over their hair, please understand the weight that subject has for us, and treat it with the sensitivity it deserves
