human by dodie is such an amazing song cause at first it’s like oh what a nice song about loving someone so much - “i want to give you your grin, so tell me you can’t bear a room that i’m not in”- like oh how relatable, till you figure out that the song is about relying +
+ on a person too much, and all the lyrics change a bit. like some of the lyrics are so nice and comforting- “paint me in trust, i’ll be your best friend”- but then - “lean for me, and I'll fall back, you'll fit so nicely, you'll keep me intact”- is deeper when you catch +
+ the actual meaning of a song, relying on someone for happiness and bending and breaking for them. but then it’s like oh that’s... that’s bad that’s obviously a bad thing so why do we connect so much to the song? THEN AFTER MULTIPLE “i’m so human”s THE LAST LINE IS +
+ “we’re just human” AND ITS SO GOOD CAUSE EVERUONE THINKS LIKE THAT SOMETIMES AND GAH ITS SO GOOD SHES SO GOOD SORRY BUT I LOVE DEEP LEVEL SONGS THAT SEEM SURFACE LEVEL ON THE OUTSIDE MMMMM
and don’t even get me started on sick of losing soulmates and intertwined
