#BigRaysGarageGrind@Seahawks Offensive Line 1st Look Edition”. So I have to preference this with the fact that I have only attended 1.5 practices. But this is my take at this point. I apologize for the long post.I will start with the returning young players. 1st up. Ethan Pocic
Pocic(C/G). Cons: Plagued by my injuries and healthy scratches which has slowed his progress. Also, the Hawks infatuation with versatility I think hurt as well. He plays high at times. Gets pushed back a little. Needs to play with more leverage and power. Continued...
Pocic: pros: I like the size he brings at that position. He can b smooth getting to the next level. He seems to have command of the offense & directing the Oline. He brings above average athleticism and some real game experience. He holds up well in pass pro. Sets depth of pocket
Jones(T) cons: Needs to be more violent with his hands in pass pro. He loses the hand fight, stops his feet and gives up the edge too quickly. In the run game, he needs to play with better leverage and hand placement. Pros: When he is confident & sure of himself, he can do it all
Be right back. 😂
Jones pros: He has good lateral movement and can adjust to counter moves. He blocks well on the run. He has the ability to sustain blocks in the run game. Can play with great athleticism at times. I think staying at one position will benefit his progress.
Finney (C/G). Cons: He looks small. A slightly bigger Joey Hunt. Might get overpowered at G. Not a great athlete. Short arms can make it tough against powerful pass rushers. Might struggle manned up in the run game. Pros: He’s an all day sucker. You better bring your lunch pail.
Finney pros: He will fight you until the very end. Great motor and toughness and some nastiness. Can’t teach or coach that. His experience will be his strength.
Shell (T) cons: Plays high and loses leverage in both run and pass game. Isa grabber vs a puncher. Can lead to holding calls. When he tries to get lower he tends to bend at the waist which straightens your legs and robs him of his athleticism and power. Pros: 1st dude off the!
