i feel like svt as mentors would be really strict, but they’d still have a soft spot for the trainees and try to make things fun. i rmb watching suju members as mentors...and the environment was so scary...and i feel like part of the reason was just that when they were trainees,
it was every man for himself. they mentioned before that they saw all the other trainees as enemies who stood in their way of debut, so their approach to mentoring would be quite different. there’s no “fun” in training, and you should always act as though it’s your last day.
svt on the other hand, really worked as a team and had each other throughout the trainee process so their approach as mentors would be pretty different. i rmb hao being strict, but then buying snacks for the team afterwards. he really created an environment where he was
respected, but didn’t seem to be scary or intimidating. these just some thoughts that i had about svt being mentors. neither approach is right or wrong, it’s just interesting to see how each group’s own trainee life reflects the way they mentor.
