Black conservatives are more likely to have non-Black partners than any other Black people. Coincidence? Nah. Then why?

Because a chunk of their conservatism is rooted in anti-blackness and self-hatred.

To be fair, folk on the left have had White partners too. See: Fanon, Lorde, Davis, Wilderson, Baldwin, & sure, "Love is love" but that doesn't just fully negate said Love from being political and/or in part or entirely influenced by internalized racial norms of desirability.

Sexual desirability dictates a LOT of folk's politics..more than they'd like to admit. That's why they try to make this convo seem invasive or taboo..
