1/3 What’s being seen right now, is that when @NFL has an opportunity to sign @CFL players on their time, they will. This should be seen as an encouraging development because the more quality players sign, the more quality players will come North. You always risk losing players.
2/3 the best marketing to players NOT in the @NFL ,is players signing in the @CFL and getting opportunities regardless of time of year. The best teams like @calstampeders adjust to roster change constantly and still win. CFL would be relying less and less on ‘free agent camps’.
3/3 to identify talent...to stock the cupboards. Not saying it’s a bad recruitment system, but if players success stories can be your ‘elevator pitch’ to a player considering waiting a year or two for an @NFL opportunity, why wouldn’t that be encouraged.
