Tate have decided to email its retail staff individually between 9-10pm (and later) Friday night to tell everyone who has jobs and who is cut. Our group text is a stream of: “I’m in” or “I’m out”.
The next thing people say is:
“...but I’m still striking.”

It’s heartless and callous to send these messages on a Bank Holiday Friday night.
They know that we’ve been together all day protesting and could have offered support to each other in person, but they’ve chosen to send this when we are all home.

Many people still have not had their email yet. They are still trickling in after 10pm and beyond.
Seeing people who worked at Tate for 10 months or people who worked there for 10 years being made redundant. People who are just out of uni and people with families and mortgages.
And for these emails to still be rolling through now after 11pm...
@Tate you should be ashamed
