Ok @SoundCloud - after 7 years I'm finally cancelling my pro subscription you greedy fuckheads. It now costs 200 dollars a year for the monthly rate - and I have to pay that to even monetize my own fucking music? At the lowest quality of any streaming service in existence??

Not to mention that Pro gives you absolutely none of the features in Go - so that's another 60-120 a year ON TOP of the pro sub. You literally force artists into 2 subscriptions to not hear ads on content THEY CREATED. Ads that can't even be monetized without paying.

You have set up a system that exploits the people that have been with you from the start. You know full well that these subscription costs will offset your payouts. The site survives by convincing artists to pay to host their own content. No other streaming service does this.

Clearly this platform doesn't give a fuck about creators anymore. The fact you have the audacity to add a paypal button for covid "in support of artists" and then charge them even more is so laughable. And don't even get me started on the mastering service.

All you guys are concerned with is adding more gimmicks to get more subs. None of the issues the community has been SCREAMING at you for the past 4 years have been addressed. Instead we get more bullshit "features" behind a paywall.

It's so sad to be saying all of this about a site that has been so monumentally helpful to me and my entire community. Soundcloud truly was the best thing that happened to us for a time. What a god damn shame to see what its become.

I'm done paying for anything related to this service. Time to watch it either bleed out or continue spiraling into the corporate blight on the industry that it is. The end of an era. It's been real.
