Cherry Lyric Analysis; ~a thread~

so the theory about hamille is that it ended due to H cheating, and i think that whatever relationship cherry is about ended due to that, but i think it was written about L and just twisted to fit the hamille narrative

Lyrics:
‘don’t you call him baby’ - H doesn’t want to be replaced even if they have broken up

‘i confess, i can tell that you are at your best / i’m selfish so i’m hating it’ - H thinks that this person is doing well with or without him, and thinks that they’re moving forward and leaving him behind (which he obviously doesn’t like). the ‘i thought you were dont with me’+

+excuse is common in cheating so...

‘I noticed that there’s a piece of you in how i dress, take it as a compliment’ - could link to the numerous rings L bought H, or H’s new love of suspenders. I think it was supposed to be a LOUD hamille line though, as they have similar fashion sense.

‘i noticed’ implies it was subconscious, meaning he has a subconscious need to feel close to this person.

‘I just miss your accent and your friends’ - LOUD hamille lyric to push the narrative, however could potentially link to L’s donny accent (though that is a verrrrry big stretch)

‘Does he take you walking ‘round his parents’ gallery?’ - another LOUD hamille line linking to her new boyfriend

another thing i noticed is that each verse begins with ‘I, I...’ which seems like hes stammering and cant quite find the words to talk to this person, almost as if he’s afraid of hurting this person further

again, no disrespect to hamille, i just personally don’t believe it and i don’t think H would genuinely fall in love with someone as problematic as her
