THREAD on College reopening dashboards

I am both heartened as well as DEEPLY disappointed to see spectrum of Covid19 reporting by colleges & universities. Some have made enormous efforts at transparency (even if formats could be better); others seem afraid of reporting. 1/8
My employer, @Yale, is currently in the category of being transparent, but presenting data that is NOT user friendly, or even useful. https://covid19.yale.edu/yale-covid-19-statistics 2/8
Huge kudos to @USD for reliably posting every day, even as numbers are not flattering. (They started classes 9 days ago) https://www.usd.edu/covid19/covid-19-dashboard 3/8
@Harvard has one of the best, overall, COVID dashboards, presenting a breadth of data that helps to inform. https://www.harvard.edu/coronavirus/harvard-university-wide-covid-19-testing-dashboard 4/8
@Vassar is a small liberal arts college, led by a Public Health expert, @ehbvassar, and has done a great job, with simple design, of presenting relevant data. https://www.vassar.edu/together/dashboard/ 5/8
My colleague, @NAChristakis, posted this yesterday: https://twitter.com/NAChristakis/status/1299128607185477633?s=20 6/8

Not sure if this is related, but UAB's very nice dashboard is well out of date, since their cases exploded. https://uasystem.edu/covid-19-dashboard/
University of Illinois has one of the nicest looking dashboards, but they have a rapidly growing number of cases and it is NOT obvious from the site.. (Plus they haven't updated in two days). 7/8

I encourage you to post (with link, if you can) your favorite school or dashboard. Every school is facing a major challenge. Some are afraid of sharing that info with public. We ALL can learn from these experiences. We should ALL want transparency. #LuxEtVeritas. 8/end
