THREAD: Last week, IDPH reported the COVID death of a Cook Co female in her 20s. My research indicates this death is a suicide that occurred in May.šŸ˜³

At a time when stats are being used to stoke fear & close schools, this is borderline criminal http://dph.illinois.gov/news/202008  1/*
After seeing the IDPH press release last wk, I looked at the Cook Co MEā€™s COVID deaths register. Because IDPH announced the death on August 22, weā€™d expect the death occurred in August. But I donā€™t see a death of a 20s female anytime in August. Do you? 2/*

I determined the death IDPH announced on 8/22 was a 20-YO female suicide that involved a metoprolol overdose (a blood pressure medication) while high on amphetamines...and a positive COVID test

How did I figure that out this was the death IDPH reported on 8/22? 3/*
I keep CCME data downloads & take screenshots of the graph. The death didn't appear in the Aug 16 DL (below). At that time, the number of ā€œCOVID-relatedā€ deaths that occurred on May 23 was 64. When I checked last Saturday, it had risen to 65. (cf https://twitter.com/EWoodhouse7/status/1299213735089901568?s=20) 4/*
I hope reasonable people can agree that if you kill yourself w/substances - intentionally or not - or fall, are in a vehicle accident, etc., a virus didnā€™t kill you. Yet there are at least 46 such deaths in the Cook MEā€™s COVID database. 5/*
As far as I've been able to tell, IDPH's definition of a COVID death is anyone who dies within 30 days of testing positive for COVID

Huge red flag when deaths (55% in LTCFs) are being used to justify policy decisions that have had and continue to have VERY high human costs. 6/*
IDPH MUST be honest about WHEN the deaths they report each day occurred, with comorbidities.

Itā€™s unconscionable for public health officials to be reporting months-old deaths as if they just happened.

Why should do we believe anything they say when this garbage happens? 7/*
It's not the virus itself but our Governor's response to it that has ruining the lives of the living. It HAS to STOP. Contact your state rep, show up at one of the Governorā€™s multiple houses, protest at the beach, etc.

Ppl are in the dark. It's time to turn on the lights. 8/8
