The reasons I dislike guillotine imagery are b/c
1. The introduction of violent imagery in democratic persuasion is wrong
2. The melding of violence w/ progressivism is a bad tactic
3. You attract no one to the case
4. You might inspire sympathy for people who don't deserve it
Putting up a guillotine outside Bezos' house does absolutely nothing to help the workers his company mistreats. Put up signs telling their stories instead. Describe their wages, their hours, how they are treated. Inform the public. Inspire sympathy for *them*, not Bezos.
And, I've said this in the past, but I am increasingly convinced these people do not care about the causes they claim to care about, since they insist on using tactics that repel others but give them moments of pleasure. Progressive persuasion requires compassion, not violence
Another way to effectively shame Bezos would be to demonstrate how other people w/ similar wealth contribute to society & to pressure Bezos to do more. We can have a conversation about billionaires, but Soros, Gates, & Buffet all invest in society to greater degrees than Bezos.
"Bill Gates is funding COVID vaccine research while Bezos abuses workers" would be an effective line of attack.
