I was just forwarded some internal correspondence from one of the innumerable Toronto arts groups that is melting down under internal racism accusations. Apparently, we're not supposed to say BIPOC anymore. The preferred term is now QTBIPOC. Please govern yourself accordingly

It's a theatre that hasn't put on a play in months, but is hiring anti-racism consultants, based on a complaint from a woman who's mad that her lesbian ex was hired as a photographer. new theatrical season is dedicated to racial "reflection." I'm sure the crowds will come surging

Does anyone know where these places get their money? They seem to produce publications no one reads and plays no one watches, yet always seem to have tons of cash on hand to send everyone to all sorts of seminars and hire all sorts of consultants once they are accused of racism.

Last year, the same theater excommunicated its founder bcuz he wasnt sufficiently pro trans. The current chief, who presided over the guy's excommunication, has been denounced for her whiteness. now, she too is leaving. new head will likely hit every letter of QTBIPOC. Stay tuned
