In 2016, I swore I would not vote for HRC. She was a corporate war hawk. It was against my principles to actually vote for someone like that. I figured she was going to win anyway. There wasn& #39;t a poll I saw that had her losing.
The closer it got to election day, I realized that her voter base was way too cocky. They laughed at anyone who said she might not win. They were preparing for the historic victory weeks before votes were cast.
In October, after the Access Hollywood tape came out, I started doubting her enthusiasm. I saw how determined his base was to get this asshole elected. I also saw how absolutely complacent Democrat voters were becoming.
11-8-16 was my 34th birthday and I went to vote. As I stood in a crowded fire hall at 8am I thought "wow there are never this many people here this early." I& #39;m an early morning voter and previous elections I don& #39;t think my number was higher than 20.
I looked around and the vast majority of people were wearing some sort of MAGA apparel. It was in that moment I changed my mind. So I decided ,waiting in line, I was going to vote for HRC.
As I left, not feeling completely great about going against my principles, I asked for my voting number. 87. Our population is under 3,000 and before 9am I was the 87th person to vote. I called my husband and said "babe Trump is going to win". He laughed of course.
BC the media said there is just no way HRC could lose. The media rejected even thinking that Trump could win. This in turn made people on the fence feel like their vote wouldn& #39;t matter anyway. I know several people who didn& #39;t have time to vote that day, so just skipped it.
She was going to win anyway by a landslide, so it didn& #39;t really matter if they couldn& #39;t get there.
This election is playing out exactly the same way. Except, those people who are already declaring a Biden victory are the ones doing the most damage.

Stop blaming 3rd party voters, celebrities for not backing Biden enthusiastically, or people pointing out his flaws. Complacency was the issue in 16 and looks like it might cost Dems again. You need to make the case on why Biden is better for the average person.
No, Biden needs to make that case, bc without it you are not going to get people interested enough to give up their time to vote. If you keep saying he& #39;s a shoe in, people are going to think their vote doesn& #39;t matter. You& #39;re using all your time to
convince 3rd party voters that Biden is amazing, instead of trying to get new voters to understand that their vote matters. You& #39;re still focusing on the wrong group of people. There were 20 million people who didn& #39;t show up at all in 16. Those are the people you need.
I know I& #39;m not the only one who switched their vote last minute. But I was never a Dem to begin with and many of us leftists aren& #39;t. Wasting your time on belittling us, isn& #39;t going to do anything. Many of us regret our vote for her and I don& #39;t think you are going to
Convince us again that not voting for the Democrat is our fault. See we already see the complacency of voters in this election. We already see the media calling a victory for Biden. You are holding a jack and convinced you have a royal flush.
Stop fighting with us leftists, bc trust me people on the fence are looking at what your saying. They see your confidence as a pass on them participating. Or see your arrogance as a reason to not support Biden. You all are doing your best to repeat 2016.
