— why finn was absolutely disgusting and faven was one of the worst ships; a thread

first, let’s get some backstory. raven’s mom didn’t care about her, and her dad was never mentioned. probably got floated or abandoned her mom. raven was hungry, since her mother sold their rations for alcohol (until one day she even drank herself to death)+

before that happened, finn, raven’s neighbour, started sharing his rations with her so she wouldn’t starve. they eventually started dating.
both raven’s parents left her, in one way or another. the only thing she had was finn. he was her home and everything she needed, +

the only person she could trust.

on the same day finn got to earth with the rest of the delinquents, SAME DAY, >>FIVE MINUTES AFTER LANDING<<, finn was flirting with clarke. of course, flirting isn’t cheating but is still wrong while in a relationship.

a couple hours after that, finn was CLEARLY and openly flirting with octavia. still same day he left the ark. still in a relationship with raven. he’s been on earth for a couple hours and already flirted with two girls while being with raven.

but "fine", it’s just flirting.

that is until, of course, he has sex with clarke. numerous times. while still being in a relationship with raven. and he would have started dating clarke if raven hadn’t gotten down from the ark.

while finn was doing all of that on earth, raven was on the ark. what was she doing there?
she was building a ship so she could get to finn. if raven got caught, they would float her. she’d die, trying to get back to finn, while he was cheating on her.

not only did she risk her life building the ship, she also risked her life getting down to the ground in that ship so she could be with finn again. while he was cheating on her. all of that happened a few days after the 100 landed on earth. a few days.

getting there, she eventually finds out finn was cheating on her. the only person she could trust, the only person that mattered to her, THE ONLY PERSON, betrayed her. she knew him for years and years, and it took him a few days to do this. imagine how shitty you would feel.
