The whole Kyle Rittenhouse thing is so tragic. This kid was brainwashed to believe that he was actually doing something noble. I wish people could see how insidious all this is. 1/

Imagine being told constantly that a radical angry mob wants to burn down your country and establish anarchy. Then you see videos of a few buildings burning, stores being looted & vandalized. All bc cops killed a criminal. 2/

Mix this with a steady dose of movies/tv/revisionist history that glorifies (white male) gunmen as heroes who single-handedly saved the world from destruction. To quote the racist Tucker Carlson “How shocked are we that a 17yr old w/ a rifle decided he had to maintain order?” 3/

If you are fed enough lies and propaganda, it becomes a part of your identity. Now a kid who believed he was protecting his country, is in jail for murdering 2 of his fellow citizens (who also believed they were protecting their country). 4/

This country is dangerously divided and once again the sin of racism is at the very center.
