I had an appointment for installation last weekend. The installer lied and said no one was home. I just got a call saying one was on the was and I just wanted to show you both @Suddenlink & @SuddenlinkHelp that two adults took time off work to be here....again.
UPDATE:
It’s now 4:59pm. Once again @Suddenlink & @SuddenlinkHelp the installer never showed up.
They reported that I was not home, while I was sitting outside waiting.
I’ve called in and gotten the same old excuses.
I was told by a nice lady on the phone that my problem had been “escalated” and that they would “try” to call me back tomorrow, with a new appointment date and time. Here’s hoping it will be on a Saturday again and that someone will actually show up this time.
Who knows, maybe fourth times the charm. I’ve got my fingers crossed 🤞🏽 once again, but the kids and my girlfriend think I’m wasting my time....
I still have faith in you @Suddenlink ... let’s see what happens.
So I was supposed to get a call back from @Suddenlink / @SuddenlinkHelp this morning to “possibly” set up an appointment for today. I was told that they may get a little busy and I may have to call them if I didn’t hear from them by 9am. It’s now 9:30 and I just called...
I got an appointment set up for today, between 5pm and 8pm. I’m not going anywhere today, so let’s see how this plays out....
Okay @Suddenlink & @SuddenlinkHelp, here we go. The installer is supposed to be here today between 5 and 8pm CST. I’ve pulled my truck in the garage so it’s sticking out of it AND have put a camera in the garage aimed at the street...
Welp... @Suddenlink & @SuddenlinkHelp the good news is, the installer showed up.
The bad news is: He didn’t have the three mini @TiVo boxes and one main box I needed soo guess what?
I get to call in again, wait 30 minutes to talk to a human and schedule attempt #5 to get cable.
So I called in and guess what?
I was told that @Suddenlink & @SuddenlinkHelp don’t have any open appointments for installation in my area and that I should go to an office and just pick up the equipment myself. SPOILER ALERT: Every office within 100 miles of me has been shut down
...so I tell the @Suddenlink / @SuddenlinkHelp guy on the phone about this.
He puts me on hold for about 5 minutes....then gets back to me and says that I need to call in tomorrow between 9 and 5 EST and ask for the sales department because only they can schedule an appointment.
@Suddenlink and @SuddenlinkHelp do you see how ridiculous and frustrating this is?
I’ve been trying to get cable in my home since August 5th.
I haven’t flipped out on anyone on the phone, because that’s pointless, but I am extremely upset.
I guess this saga continues tomorrow....
So I called in this morning. On the first call I was told that I was being transferred to Retention. Once that happened I got an automated call saying that, that office was closed.
On the second call, for some unknown reason the person on the other end could not hear me. After about two minutes, I just hung up..
On the third call, I got an appointment set up. Now you’re not going to believe how far out this one is @Suddenlink & @SuddenlinkHelp ... it’s for September 7th.. which is Labor Day and my Birthday.
With that appointment day, this will mean that this problem has gone on for a month and two days.

I’m going to call back in on Monday and see if I can get a closer date, but I doubt it.
So I called in Monday.
I now have a new appointment for 9/4 between 8 and 11am.

Welp, tomorrow’s the day (again) !
Will @Suddenlink / @SuddenlinkHelp show up between 8 and 11am tomorrow?....and if they do, will they actually have the equipment I’m already paying for, that needs to be installed?
