***URGENT ACTION ALERT*** ATTN WISCONSINITES. We only have until MONDAY's Special Session to pressure @SpeakerVos, @SenFitzgerald and our state legislators to take up and PASS policing reform bills. Don't let them gavel in and gavel again.

@GovEvers introduced this legislation last June following the murder of George Floyd. Vos and Fitzgerald didn't take it up then. Ignoring it again now is an insult to Wisconsinites who are calling out for real change.

The Governor's nine policing reform bills would establish statewide use-of-force standards, increase de-escalation training requirements, and ban no-knock warrants and chokeholds, among other measures.

We don't need the watered-down bills that Sen. VanWangaard threw together this week. We don't want Vos' task force to take the place of real action now. They can recommend more initiatives later.

Flood Vos, Fitzgerald and your state legislators with calls and emails - not just once but over and over again. (Use a different subject line for each email or it's likely to be filtered out.)

Flood social media over and over. Tag your legislators, Vos and Fitzgerald. Use the hashtags #NoMoreObstruction and #WiDemandAction. There are images in the Toolkit and suggested posts and tweets. Search for the hashtags and RT. Ask friends and family to RT and share FB posts.

Write a Letter to the Editor (LTE), but DO IT NOW! Submit it before the weekend and again on Monday. The Toolkit has tips and talking points. Be sure to name your legislator, Vos and Fitzgerald several times.

The time for action on police reform is NOW. We demand that Vos, Fitzgerald and state legislators convene the Special Session and PASS the Governor's bills on policing reform. #WiDemandAction #NoMoreObstruction
