"Cap would vote for Trump"

DON'T GET ME STARTED on the lore of Captain America and all the times he literally gave up being Cap to stand up against a corrupt govt.
FINE YOU GOT ME STARTED
After the Marvel universe's version of Watergate, in which the leadership of the United States was found to be the head of a secret cabal of supervillains that was a subsidiary of HYDRA, Cap literally gave up being Cap. He said he was a "man with no country" and became Nomad.
When the US Government used the KNOWN TERRORIST known as "Nuke", a hyper-nationalist brainwashed by cartels, the US govt, and even Kingpin to believe in "the American ideal" above all else, Cap stood against him.

This rhetoric look familiar?
Most of you know the Civil War storyline from the movie, but the comic version is much more nuanced. Following a superhero tragedy that claims the lives of over 600 citizens, the US Government tries to force supers to register their powers and identities so they can be monitored.
Cap, believing in the freedom of privacy and not having people rounded up or controlled by people with motivations that are not clearly laid out, stands up (AS THE MOST PUBLICLY KNOWN AND MONITORED SUPER-FIGURE IN THE COUNTRY) and says no. Even helps other supers go into hiding.
And you know what he does when he realizes that his stance is causing more harm than good? He encourages others to continue the fight, but Turns. Himself. In.

Not as Cap. But as Steve Rogers.

He takes his citizenry and humanity more seriously than his stance.
That's probably something we could all do, on both sides of the aisle.

Your political stances should not preclude you from being able to view the big picture and support your fellow humans.
IN CONCLUSION.

Cap would absolutely not stick to any one party, and in fact has completely abandoned allegiance to the American government on more than one occasion.

He's fought against Nazis, neo-Nazis, the KKK, radicals from both sides, etc.
He'd be voting for the people, not the person.

And as always, be like Cap. Plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth.
