[1/5] CW/TW: Anti-Black racism in Vancouver

Amplifying the story of my best friend, @susiemonyo, whose recent experience with a @lyft driver shows the lengths people governed by their Anti-Black views will go to uphold them. Please share widely.
[2/5] @lyft has been operating in Vancouver for approximately eight months. Here’s a chance to act on the commitment you made in a June 1st Instagram post, to “be part of the solution” and hold your drivers accountable with consequences for anti-Black views.
[3/5] And @lyft, a reminder of that aforementioned post, as well as three others you’ve shared since the beginning of June. Be a true ally to the Black community of Vancouver, which comprises just 1.2% of the CMA according to a 2016 census and hold this driver accountable.
[4/5] Black people are tired. Black people in primarily white and non-Black communities are tired. Black people are especially tired while living at the intersection of a white supremacist society, global pandemic and a violent police state intent on killing them.
[5/5] Support these Vancouver organizations, share this thread and demand accountability for Susie.
