People mention Afrofuture Fest w/out connecting it back to or mentioning Afrofuture Youth ( @AFYDet),the black futurist, social justice, healing, & art, youth led org who created this festival & still shapes futures for black folk

leaving our org out the convo erases our youth

So please remember that our youth in @AFYDet were already disregarded when the festival started

black youth globally are erased

& by not connecting this work back to me and my babies that furthers the harm

& they STILL need your support to this day

I understand y’all intentions but please be mindful of the impact when discussing last year & Afrofuture Fest

& please make serious comments. Nothing at all was funny about last year for me or these youth
