God forgive us for all the plastic we use. All the sacrifice the earth makes and gets harmed for so we can drink an iced coffee for ten minutes.
I used to be less concerned bc after all, this is an industrial problem. The way slaughterhouses, factories are run, globalization of the food market, our single-use world... me and my personal consumption shouldn& #39;t be blamed for a problem based in corporate greed.
But I was dead wrong. While that point is very true,
God isn& #39;t asking me about the methane polluting our air through every slaughterhouse in America. Or the microplastics in the ocean because of our synthetic fibers.

He& #39;s asking me about me.
And I need to step it up and make the tiny ecosystem within which I consume and operate pure, blessed, and wasteless. And protect the wildlife and the earth that is affected by MY consumption. Even if it is 0.00000001% less plastic straws in the ocean, it& #39;s still my straw.
It& #39;s not about saving the world. Being less wasteful isn& #39;t just about making a career out of it or spending lots of money on hipster zero-waste products. It& #39;s about gratitude and the personal responsibility God gave us to protect our blessed earth and the creatures that walk it.
Slowly but surely we can build a beautiful relationship w the Earth & its Creator. Tiny steps: replacing your disposable straws & cups -> just buying less coffee in the first place. Saving your ricewater & old grounds for the plants.
And when you do use plastic, you feel it.
