A house full of Georgia Tech students is doing college near Vail. There are 2 houses of MIT students in HI. A house of Columbia students in Portland. A house full of Harvard students in Montana. Some students are indulging in cottagecore-like fantasies, renting out farmhouses or living on an orchard. About 1,200 students responded to my call out for this story. Overwhelmingly students who chose this route were those who had already traveled away from home for school.
