You love horror movies?

I used to love them to.

But, if I told you they are bad for you would you believe it?

You ask - What does have to do with the “BRAVE” me after all?

RIGHT?

Let’s dive in.

// A thread //
It’s dark and you hear a door creaking. Your mental images are already taking you to the feeling of about to be haunted by a scary doll. You sweat. You shrink.

You don’t know what’s happening to you. You switch on the lights and there – you see the door is swaying because of
the wind.

BUT what did just happen there?

From childhood, we come across a lot of horror stories and it creates patterns in your subconscious mind. The ever intelligent guy in your head doesn’t discriminate. You start “loving” fear.
The anxiety is sweet because when you hear it you are already comfortable.

What you don’t realize is – your subconscious patterns stay. Your fear is created. And it is filed into your brain somewhere safe to make you afraid one day. The thing is, movies are further daunting
because they even create the images for your brain to easily latch on to. You may have just watched a scary doll beheading people, but then your mind is filing it somewhere as the TRUTH.

I remember watching shows like “What happened next” wherein people
would survive by a whisker while walking on a road when a car comes flying by from nowhere, BUT that image always played in MY head while walking on the road.

The images would play intermittently and all I had was to shrug it off, thinking its not real.
But then that's what causes a conflict.

Realize, whether it is planned or not, horror and scary stuffs do create coward humans – and you may not even know about it.
Realize, what you watch DOES play an important role in your life. Denial is not for me to be bothered about, BUT I can fairly say that

“You’ve been warned”.
