Good morning! Stop responding to bots/trolls. Quick #thread example.

In response to a tweet about LeBron reading Malcolm X, this “guy” says this.

Now, before I respond to something obviously meant to rile me up, I consider the source. Pic #2. It shows a couple of things. 1/
1st, account was recently opened. 2nd, “not followed by anyone I’m following.” Those 2 things alone tell me he’s not genuine. Then I look at his tweets. Pic #3. Tucker Carlson is his homie.

This took me less than 15 secs. Armed w/ this info, why engage? Save it for bigger fish.
I get that we want to tamp down disinformation and misinformation. I get that we want to inform and educate.

But isn’t it more effective when done with someone who might actually listen, someone with skin in the game, and isn’t part of a troll farm in Siberia or something?
