some people say soyeon raps offbeat. actually it& #39;s out the pocket rapping,where the flow sounds either slightly behind the beat or ahead of it. soyeon is the 2nd idol to rap out the pocket and the first female idol to do so. she did this twice. first here;
to some this may sound as offbeat,but the flow still matches the music,which isn’t the case in offbeat rapping. out-the-pocket rap is very difficult actually. beat makes you confused, and if you hesitate for a moment, the whole harmony will be broken.
the first idol who did it was RM from BTS. it may sound easy for you, but if it was easy, all the rappers would have done it.

also, if you watch the reaction of other idols to gidle in the MMA 2018 scene, you can see how the idols were surprised and shocked.
