Tips para sa mga incoming first year olfu med students 
I. Ang grading system ng first year sa olfu med ay divided into 40% first sem and 60% second sem. Ang sabi nila this is to give the students time to adjust.
Ia. Pero since nag online classes na ng 2nd sem may ibang subjects na binaliktad ang percentage, like biochemistry. Ginawa nilang 60% ang first sem dahil face to face classes at dapat mas malaki bearing. So I suggest na sipagan both semesters kasi di natin hawak ang future hehe.
II. May annual and semestral subjects sa kahit anong medical school. Sa case ng olfu bioethics ang semestral sa first year. If your surname starts with A-M then second semester mo pa kukunin yun. If N-Z first semester meron ka na.
IIa. When studying for bioethics, mostly yung exam ay yung nasa powerpoint lang ng mga doctors. Merong binebenta sa harap ng school na naka bind na. Kung ano ang nasa ppt yun na mismo yun. Yun yung gawa ni “she who must be named”
III. Biochemistry, ang passing ng biochem is 60% unlike sa ibang subjects which is 75%. Harpers ang reference book dito pero yung trans na gawa ng “beshywap” ay sapat na. Trust me. High yield yun.
IV. Physiology, para sakin isa to sa pinakamahirap na subject. Medtech ako so twas a challenge for me. Pero sipagan mo lang at sure ako papasa ka. Reference book dito is Berne and Levy, required, chinicheck ng doctors so need bilhin. You can ask the higher years for their books.
IVa. Ang transes dito ay paiba iba. Yung trans ng OLFU D2 ay maganda lalo na if yun mismo ang lecturer. But minsan hindi, like Dr. Vila, Dr. Valerio, Dr. Barbon, Dr. Gomez, etc. so depende sa topic and lecturers pwede ka gumamit ng transes ng ibang school kung san sila lecturer.
V. Gross HSB, may high yield trans dito, yun yung gawa ni “Malabanan and Manibog”, mas madami siyang pages compared sa ibang trans pero mostly andun lahat ng tanong. Bukod sa theoretical exams, may practical exams din dito. Netter will be your bestfriend.
VI. Micro HSB, same as gross may theoretical and practical din. “OLFU Trans F” ang okay na trans dito. Meron din siyang pdf for practical exams pero always check din kung tama ang labels and notes, sometimes nag iiba ang turo.
VII. FMCH, powerpoints ang aralin mo dito and makinig lang sa lecture. Also, nakalimutan ko pala sabihin na sa FMCH and pati Bioethics, ayaw na ayaw nila ng mga nag aabsent. If madami kang absent kabahan na, kahit okay grades mo, baka ipagremovals ka. Pero wag naman sana. Hehe.
