when I realized the love I was seeking, that was fulfilling and rich- could be found outside of a romantic relationship, it was a light bulb moment

now I’m seeking romance out less and less. It’s a stroke to my ego lately, just makes me feel good, means little to nothing. full love exists in me and within the family I created for myself

what I wanted in romance was what I lacked in life. communication, understanding, depth, compassion, respect, intimacy— but I discovered that these things can be found outside of that

a full love doesn’t just equal romance to me anymore, I love many people. fully. and wholeheartedly. romance is just a sliver of the bounty love has to offer
