Respect? Absolutely! Constructive criticism? Definitely! Gratitude? I'm sorry, but I don't agree with this. If you buy a pair of Levis jeans and the fly botton is loose or missing, do you call the designers to tell them "hey, I'm so grateful for the pair of trousers (1/6) https://twitter.com/chrispybacon3_t/status/1299174181456605189
you've designed. I just would like to express my thanks, and pretty please include the fly bottons next time. Your fanbase are excited about them!" Why do we feel the game industry is any different to any other? As a thanks, they receive our hard earned money. (2/6)
If the product is fawlty, or not to our expectations, we let them know via a customer service number (oh, wait...), social media or by not buying it. It's a product, we are consumers. "Hey, Mr Heinz, many thanks for your ketchup!" said no one ever. (3/6)
I'm grateful when someone does me a favour. I'm sorry, as much as I appreciate the hard work that goes into any product, I do not feel grateful for it. I owe them nothing, not to EA, to Heinz or to Levis. This doesn't mean I have the right to be rude, certainly not! (4/6)
But there's a happy medium between that and asserting your rights as a consumer. Why do some people consider that "toxic"? It's easy to forget the forms behind a keyboard in social media, true. We have to try to express our opinion in a polite and constructive manner (5/6)
as this will be more effective. And, by the way, I do actually like the pack lol
Ok, had enough with all the star wars malarkey. Let's get back to playing sims, any saga that makes you happy 😊 (6/6)
