Law is the codification of morality, but what people, especially atheists miss is that the law contains two parts-
1. Letter of the law
2. Spirit of the law

For a stable society, both need to be respected. Respect for former comes from the law enforcement... https://twitter.com/comicalmadness/status/1299287589954842627
and respect for the latter comes from fear of God. Religion provides a structure to this framework- who writes laws, who enforces them, who can change laws, everything stems from religion.

But ShinB how is this applicable to India?
Indian laws are written by the adherents of the Church of Indianism. You see, the entire process of elections, passing Bills through both houses, enforcement by Police and Judiciary is done by people who are Anglicised Indians.

What's that?
It's a class of people who are the products of our education system, who occupy every level of power imaginable in the country. They believe that India got independent in '47 through the efforts of Nehru, Gandhi and co. and it is their right (not duty) to govern Indians.
Where does this 'right' come from? Never heard of it in Hinduism.

Now you will understand why I use the phrase Church of Indianism (and not a mosque or a temple). In Islam, the 'right' to rule is obtained by being the most powerful person in terms of military strength eg. Pak
In Protestant Xianty, the right to rule comes from being in the right institutions. eg. a Yale grad as a Judge in an American Court.

Which system does the Indian state and its rulers resemble more? They come from the same structure and the Institutions which Brits left behind.
They believe in 'territorial' nationalism, 'inclusive' nationalism, rights and opportunities for all, and so on. None of these are Hindu ideas. These are not even entirely Xian ideas. They are a mixture of Xian and Colonial ideas meant to keep Hs subjugated, ideally forever. 😇
