This past February, the House passed the Emmett Till Antilynching Act which designates lynching as a federal hate crime. Given ongoing racial violence, it is imperative that we remember the racial terror inflicted on thousands of Black Americans and acknowledge sins of the past.
The Emmett Till Antilynching Act passed by a tremendous bi-partisan margin of 410-4 in the House. But it has not passed in the Senate because of one man: Rand Paul.

As we remember the life and legacy of Emmett Till today, let's not forget that this man, Rand Paul, has single-handedly BLOCKED Congress from final passage of the Emmett Till Antilynching Act.
