THREAD: I need to address my former friendship with Leah Kessel (@ leahflame). Back in June, Evan Scott Huber was exposed for harassing multiple women for feet pics. He also used my sexuality against me. Leah and I immediately bonded because we were both victims.
Back then, I was going through a very dark time in my life. I had serious thoughts of killing myself. Leah helped me get through those dark times. She became a trusted friend of mine.
Yesterday, I was made aware of Leah's history of hurting BIPOCs, especially Palestinians, with her pro-Israel comments. I also became aware of the pain she has caused by calling people anti-Semitic whenever they didn't support Israel.
After talking to several friends of mine, I decided the best way to support my BIPOC friends was to cut ties with Leah. I unfriended her on all of my social media accounts.
After further discussions with several of my BIPOC friends, I decided to give her an opportunity to come clean and address her comments. When she started blatantly lying about my friend Ramina despite being confronted with proof of her comments, I completely cut ties with her.
It breaks my heart that I was blind to everything Leah did. And I sincerely apologize from the bottom of my heart to anyone who I hurt through my actions and friendship with Leah.
I've got to do some soul searching and figure out how I can be a better ally to my BIPOC friends. It's clear I need to improve. If you ever notice me interacting with someone problematic or someone who's hurt you, let me know. I've got your back. That's the least I can do.
You don't even have to tell me *why* they're problematic or *how* they hurt you. Just DM me or @ me and I'll immediately cut ties with them.
