I see it's "row about working from home" day. Just your regular reminder that it's professionals and ICT that this working from home thing is really about - slightly more (43%) of workforce are already back at their usual place of work than are working from home (39%).
Obviously it's ridiculous to tell people to get back to the office or get fired - but I also think better paid professionals saying how brilliant working from home is could do with owning a bit more of the pain (unemployment) that it will cause for lower earning service workers
Yes some of those professionals are spending on their local high street rather than in the city centre, and yes over time jobs will move with that spending. That transition might be pain free if it = less commuting for you, but it's not when it involves job loss mid-downturn
