India is now the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak. It&
#39;s number 1 in the world for new cases - with almost a third of daily cases coming from
#India alone. It&
#39;s still lagging behind in terms of testing, with 118 countries carrying out more tests per million population.
As I&
#39;ve pointed out before, India&
#39;s death rate per m. pop is far lower than countries like the UK (number 88 vs number 6 in the world). But UK&
#39;s death rate is now near zero while India&
#39;s continues to rise at a rate of around 1000 people per day (very likely an underestimate).
