India is now the epicentre of the coronavirus outbreak. It's number 1 in the world for new cases - with almost a third of daily cases coming from #India alone. It's still lagging behind in terms of testing, with 118 countries carrying out more tests per million population.
As I've pointed out before, India's death rate per m. pop is far lower than countries like the UK (number 88 vs number 6 in the world). But UK's death rate is now near zero while India's continues to rise at a rate of around 1000 people per day (very likely an underestimate).
