Heinlein was generally not "turgid"

Lovecraft was not "cheesy" - to the charge of his writing being "florid" it is "intricate" but not "complicated" for complication& #39;s sake, he was writing poetry and prose poems, it& #39;s supposed to be sophisticated

And POE was in no way 3rd rate

If u disagree with any of these points I think ure either a troll, someone who hasn& #39;t read these writers and is not following a good life path, or secretly incredibly jealous

Heinlein was, at times, indispensible

Lovecraft will be read for hundreds of years

And POE is immortal

I myself am always looking for writers I don& #39;t have to read

We& #39;ve limited time on Earth

SCALZI is in no way a replacement for ROBERT A. HEINLEIN

Edgar Allan Poe is absolutely irreplaceable

And 3rd hand Lovecraftian reclaimed "cosmic horror" is not a substitute for real HPL

The reason HEINLEIN isn& #39;t read more today is because almost all his stuff is still under copyright and being controlled by a trust that seems mostly uninterested in having HEINLEIN actually read

Drop it into the PUBLIC DOMAIN and u& #39;d see interest fly sky high

That is a SURE BET
