'Well, let's pump them full of that other poison and make it a deathmatch.'

Also, there's a rather simple way of cheating in that ordeal... If you swallow the bean whole, without chewing it first, there's a greatly increased chance of vomiting and therefore surviving the experience and proving your innocence.

The lesson here: Don't chew your toxic food.
