They claim they dont know who, what, or why. Just that someone pulled a gun and shot someone.
But as more time goes by, its revealed they know alot more than they are saying.
They were found already on the scene 5 minutes after the *first* shooting near a burning car.

(The firearm was dropped in a matter of seconds. The only people who knew that were *some* of the people who were there just 5 minutes before that.)
Right before that, when they said they basically didnt know anything, they were asked by CJ, "was the person with you guys when the shooting happened up here? Cause I saw him running down the street w/ a rifle and kept saying "I didn& #39;t shoot anybody" sidekick looks away quickly.

Lead watches one mans footage of the first shooting. Hes heard saying "that looks like the guy that got shot", while side kick talks with another guy who asked what happened. It& #39;s hard to tell what they are saying because CJ starts talking to his audience.
After that, CJs audio picks up Lead answering a question that I couldn& #39;t hear with "I dont lile to use the term *inaudible*"

Then hes asked a question about their perspective, given the cause of the protests, why did law enforcement go the opposite direction of the "male caucasian"? (police went to the location adjacent to where everyone was currently standing.)
(Remember: more shots were heard over in that area several minutes after the fact. Several police were still in front of a house maybe 80 yards away)

This somewhat corroborates with the multiple witness acounts that there was two shooters, and one of them had a handgun.

McGinnis said there was a man in his 30s w/ Rittenhouse right before the shooting who said he was there to protect him.
Several witnesses claim a man w/ a helmet, tactical/bulletproof vest, handgun, & gun strap who fired at least one shot & threw a trash can before the shootings.

Rosenbaum allegedly had an arguement with the man over the incident. Its unclear if this happened before the clash at the gas station, or after.
But it explains the confusion over the identity if the person who shot Rosenbaum.

According to the doctor that saw Rosenbaum, he was shot in the groin, shattering his pelvis, in one of his hands, had a superficial graze to the right side of his forehead, and IN THE BACK.

Some people thought someone fired a shot into the air before Rittenhouse opened fire on Rosenbaum.
After Rittenhouse shot 2 more people, more shots can be heard from the distance.

This suggests there are indeed two shooters. Rittenhouse and either the man he was with, or a separate individual wearing the get-up described, who was the man seen throwing a trash can at protesters.
