I have a favour to ask of my followers and friends. I see people talking about Trump and Johnson, rightly criticising them for the vile human beings that they are. A lot of people then go on to make a comment about their weight. Can this stop? Because what you are doing is
equating “fat” with “bad”. Think of your plus size friends, and then realise that you are throwing them in the same boat. Being fat has nothing to do with them being a bad person. Your plus size friends will have been mocked and bullied for their size for years, they don’t now
need to see that being a huge point of focus of two of the most vile men around. There is so much to focus on - their racism, misogyny, handling of the pandemic, disdain for the working class, homophobia, lies, corruption, fixing of elections, islamophobia, and just so much more,
so why feel the need to focus on their weight? As someone who constantly struggles with an eating disorder, it is so so triggering when people don’t focus on their beliefs but instead on their size. It perpetuates the belief that however you live your life, if you aren’t skinny
then you aren’t good enough and are lesser. So please stop
