Well Alberta, it's been an amazing 16+ years getting to know you. Tomorrow my boys and I are off to Vancouver Island to move back to our hometown of Duncan with my wife and our puppies following soon after. I've accepted a transfer at work to be closer to both of our families,
especially for our boys. Through Covid we've really realized how important family is and we want our boys to get as much time with all of them as possible. We've made so many good friends here. Friends for life who we will be sure to visit and who are welcome to visit us anytime
We've enjoyed watching hockey, football, rugby, fastball, basketball, lacrosse, and soccer here. We've had opportunities to see some amazing concerts, from great local talent to legends like Elton John and Billy Joel. The @edmfolkfest will always hold a special place in our ❤️'s
My first local experience in our new home of @CityofEdmonton was a delicious Po'boy at @Dadeo_Edmonton washed down by an excellent @alley_kat_beer Almost 17 years later and I still remember it like it was yesterday.
Moving to @T4XBeaumont was a great place for us to start and raise a family. A great community full of artists, culture, sports, and an opportunity pour moi de parler francais. We love this community and will miss it. If you come down here make sure you visit our friends at
@dinechartier and Bake My Day in Beaumont, @RigHandSpirits in Nisku, and @Ruralroutesbrew & @Phattonystruck in @CityofLeduc . Incredible places. There's a whole bunch more but that's a good start!
I also had the great pleasure of playing with the Dodgers Fastball Club and the Lep Tigers Rugby Club. I'll never forget all the good people, good times, and good beers. Thanks folks 🍻
Thank you to the teachers, educators, custodians, administrators, and board at @BlackGldSchools . My boys were always treated so well and helped by many amazing people. I truly am grateful to all of you and wish you a safe return this fall.
During my time here I also had the immense privilege of being the 834th person ever elected to the #ableg and it was such an honour to serve the people of this region and province. As Minister I was able to see many beautiful communities. Thank you all for everything.
This province is a beautiful place full of beautiful people and hidden gems. I'm so glad we were able to live here and experience so much of it. You'll always have a piece of my heart AB. You're a beauty and I thank you for caring for me and my family. Be good to each other ❤️
