To be honest, I didn't like it when Ling Xiao said being with Jianjian is his instinct and self-rescue, and if she didn't grab his hand he'll drown away… It's such a heavy emotional burden. It's unhealthy. But that was only the beginning of LX acting weird in these 2 episodes.
LX is usually calm, doesn't show his emotions and always considerate of other people, so being this vulnerable and even a little…selfish? is quite new.

After finding out that HZQ also confessed to LJJ, he panicked and you can see him losing even more control of his emotion.
Bringing up 'childhood betrothal' in the argument with Ziqiu IS immature and OOC

Then you get to where LX accused LJJ of being with him out of pity, yet telling her that if she wants to pity him then she should do it 100%, asking if she wants a do-over now that ZQ's more pitiful
His emotional dependence on Jianjian IS unhealthy, Ling Xiao DID behave unreasonably in these 2 eps, but THIS IS WHERE THIS DRAMA HAS MY APPLAUSE. Jianjian didn't just get angry at him for being unreasonable, she went after him and continued questioning his behaviour,
and eventually figured out that something IS wrong with him and his uncharacteristic behaviour is a call for help. (Once again Li Jianjian proves that she's the best girl! I love her!)
The part where LX said he knows the reason LJJ and her ex broke up was because she didn't want to kiss him, and LX asked her to check with him, but she hesitated because he's acting strange, so LX opened his eyes and said it's okay if you don't want to, we're already family so
you just have to be beside me IS SO SAD. LX is so broken that he wouldn't mind the girl he loves staying with him out of pity…

Yes it's unhealthy for him to think this way, that's the point! I just hope that now that the drama is going into it they'll portray it responsibly 🤞
