This is part of why I advise a massive turnout to not only defeat GOP but to annihilate them as a party & push them out of the body politic as much as possible. Nothing is going to be resolved in the next 67 days except perhaps getting folks on board with mass strikes (which will need to continue into 2021) & having a national referendum on whether we have a Trump dictatorship or not. Realistically that’s it. That’s the focus.
We will not dismantle police in the next 67 days. We will not have a 3rd party emerge with the organization, money & power to be an alternative to Trump & Biden in the next 67 days. In the next 67 days we will either have an emboldened Trump dictatorship or we won’t. That’s it.
We have to organize in response to reality as it exists before us. There is too much at stake. We are in the middle of a war.
No, a Biden admin will not be a solution to white supremacy or capitalism or imperialism. Nothing prevents us from mounting an ongoing resistance to a Democratic administration as we did during the Obama years, as we’re doing now in cities & states across the nation.
Literally the only thing potentially resolved in the next 67 days is disrupting Trump’s reign of terror & delivering a defeat for the far right. It makes no logical sense to do otherwise when these are the people who are most diametrically opposed to human rights & democracy.
Everyone has a right to vote as they wish or to not vote. I share my view on the matter out of a deep concern that only grows deeper the more I witness unfolding events in this country.
