Housemate: "Getting that new X-wing flight sim?"

Reply: 4min long diatribe about how I tried to get the recent "ports" to work with a flight stick and it didn& #39;t and I hate everything, including Rebel Galaxy Outlaw (which I ACTUALLY love) all because that stick wouldn& #39;t work.

The short answer is just, actually, whether or not the fucking stick works

X-Wing was so rad. I loved it. I wanted to be a pilot as a kid. My family is full of actual Naval Aviators, and I (unlike the kid from Little Miss Sunshine) KNEW that I couldn& #39;t be a combat pilot because of my eyesight.

So the next best thing was to be Luke goddamn Skywalker.

Yeah yeah yeah I hear you, "you can have corrected vision these days" but I would retort with, "Unless we hit Independence Day levels of requirement, I am also now too old to begin the training".
