Nausicaä's pet Teto reminded me of a Tiger and Keyin's iconic fit in Single Eyelid Girls compliments Nausicaä's blue dress in the film so yeah, that's why

This is an alternate earlier version I made but I wasn't satisfied so I redid it
I may not be the best artist around but I know that The9 deserves better and will give them just that (iQiyi should too)

I was looking for snow in Ghibli and the only one I found was in Princess Kaguya and I was like "well, they both look like celestial princesses anyways, let's go with that"

I'm very proud of this one because it is perfectly balanced, my original vision going into this little project

Though I did have a hard time customizing that title

Random reasons, candy emoji reminded me of food and food reminded me of Spirited Away
Also, Tang's iconic fit in Ambush on All Sides perfectly aligns with Chihiro's dress

Earlier, I thought of combining Xin, Xueer & Keran in Howl's Moving Castle but I also wanted to give them separate films

When Keran won that, I put The9's center with Ghibli's center, TOTORO

To challenge myself, I tried a more realistic approach

To me, Yu Yan is a fierce woman like Mononoke who can tame any beast
While Mononoke have a Wolf, Yu Yan is the one true Lion

SO THAT CONCLUDES MY THE NINE X STUDIO GHIBLI DIGITAL ARTWORK PROJECT

I started my quarantine by watching all Studio Ghibli films, after that I discovered Youth with You 2 and loved every bit of it

So what better way to end my vacation other than combining both worlds

I dream of my art reaching them but that is a longshot cause I definitely don't have the connections

I'm just thankful to be able to call myself an artist again after so many years of not believing in myself

I owe The9 many things and this offering is a little thanks

I'll accompany you in this short time we have with each other
And I'll stand by you even after your journey ends and stars anew

To my moots, all solo fandoms, ninechos, I hope you appreciate this small project I made

I do it for the girls, everything for The Nine
