As we come to rest tonight, let us be mindful that for millions the election is a mere blip on the radar screen if anything at all. It scarcely matters. Thousands wrestle with medical issues, fiscal worry, a broken family, heart, & mind. They are picking up after a hurricane.
They are trying to adopt a baby. They are hoping to do well on an exam or job interview. They wait in the ICU with hope for a loved one. They long for news of a distant son or daughter in a war-torn region. They hope.
Unimpressed by politics and promises, focused on the daily bread that’s needed, they turn hearts heavenward. They reach to friends & neighbors for support. Be that friend. Be that neighbor. Let us find one another and help one another home.
