You have to stop projecting this idea that an educated, talented, and beautiful Black woman would even DARE commit her life to ANYONE who would not understand and cherish the gift and queen that she is. AS SHE IS. AS HER BLACK SELF. AT ALL TIMES. 2/

You all have to STOP thinking that a man of any color is not capable of loving and cherishing a powerful, beautiful, and strong Black woman. Stop thinking that a Black woman would EVER choose to deny any part of her magnificent being for anyone's love or understanding. 3/

And for the record y'all, I am Black as hell. If you've followed me on here you know that I love being ME. My husband loves me (DUHHH) he's not Black but one of the infinite reasons he LOVES about me is my confidence and security in my identity. I am beautifully BLACK. 4/

Y'all have to STOP PROJECTING this idea that Black women are somehow lesser than other women and are desperate. We were NEVER desperate. We have OPTIONS. STANDARDS. We don't have to SETTLE for anything other than a situation where we are happy & treated with the utmost respect. 5

The reason why I am spelling all of this out right now once and for all is because we get these comments regularly even IN PERSON. Y'all, someone on the street tried to kill me and my husband on Columbus Day years ago BECAUSE WE WERE HOLDING HANDS walking down the street. 6/

I'm making it so incredibly clear moving forward that any negative thoughts in seeing me and my husband together is an actual projection of how you have let society brainwash you into thinking that Black women can't be loved by people as their true selves. That's your problem.
