To all the bootlickers telling me to pick myself up by my bootstraps, here’s some numbers. My moms tuition in the 80s for the same school I attended was $800/semester. With inflation that would only be $1926 today, which I agree would be possible to pay off. But my current,
In state tuition is almost $6000/semester. Before books, housing, and whatever online programs they scam us into buying which adds up to around $9,000 a semester. That would require students to work two full time min wage jobs just to cover all those bills and working
That much highly interferes with your ability to actually focus on school. If you’re in school your primary focus should be on school, not on whether or not you’ll be able to pay your bills this month because your school is trying to drain you of your every penny.
To those accusing me of not working hard enough. I dropped out to get a job I didnt like. Saved money. Now Im working a job I hate back home bc it pays better and now I can afford to go back to school and I’m still going to be in debt for the unforeseen future. Eat shit.
