...what in the living fuck is “chakra alignment bar soap”?

Y’all need to quit the grifting and unapologetic appropriation.
Since this is getting seen by people I didn’t even know sold this type of soap, let me say this:

White magical practitioners regularly appropriate practices from Hinduism, Native American cultures, Black and Brown diaspora and more without recourse and become immediately
defensive when called out for capitalizing on the cultures of oppressed, enslaved, and otherwise marginalized groups.

If you wish to be a leader in this or any other community, and you claim to be an anti-racist, you need to start thinking about who is being centered and /
supported - financially and socially - when it comes to teaching or profiting from non-white traditions

If you’re actively profiting off of BIPOC people, & you wish to be an ally, you should do some deep thinking about your business practices & how they match up with your ideals
Also, like, I realize that my comparative religious philosophy minor was earned over a decade ago, and that my unit on Hinduism wasn’t much more than a crash course in the basics, but I don’t remember there being much crossover between “chakras” and “soap”.
That being said… “Chakra soap” is not remotely unique to one person… For example: (Note that on Etsy alone there are 1,279 results)
Instagram has over 1000 results for it, too.

So, if you feel called out, maybe that’s a sign you have some work to do, but I certainly wasn’t talking about you.
