A few points:
1. If all you see are rioters, then w/all due respect...You& #39;re not looking hard enough, my friend.
I see pain.
I see frustration.
I see justified anger.
I see people who have been doing things the "right" way for years, only to continue to get done wrong... https://twitter.com/CalmViv/status/1299100759351373826">https://twitter.com/CalmViv/s...

2. What is the acceptable way to disrupt the system? When you have people who are opposed to peaceful protests...When you have people who take offense to the very notion that Black lives matter.
I believe in unity 100%, but now is not the time to try to speak over Black folks.

3. We can all agree that property damage is wrong...But what we CAN& #39;T seem to all agree on is the value of Black/brown life.
Every single time a person of color is murdered by the cops, you get a slew of white folks who would rather justify the killings than humanize the dead.

4. This is why the NBA players HAD to protest. There& #39;s a segment of America that views Black people solely as entertainment. There& #39;s no empathy extended towards a group of people who have played by the rules, only to get undercut by an unjust system time after time after time...
5. It comes back to empathy. I get that you might not see it the way I or the NBA players see it...And that& #39;s ok. Diversity is what makes America great.
But I do need you to hear what I& #39;m saying & value my opinion as someone who& #39;s dealt with racism a LOT longer than #ClayTravis.

6. The pejorative use of "woke" by a carnival barker like Travis is funny. Here& #39;s a guy who knows that he doesn& #39;t have enough talent to cultivate an audience on merit, so he resorts to using dog-whistles.
I& #39;m very proud of the NBA players for putting dignity ahead of dollars!

7. I agree that the country needs to come together...But that goal is impossible if you have 40% of the country refusing to even hear Black & brown Americans out.
Only after addressing the root problem of racism, can we cure the symptoms (like rioting).d6s
